Intel Xeon is the silicon the server world standardizes on: the Gold 5412U gives each node 24 physical Sapphire Rapids cores and 48 threads at up to 3.9 GHz turbo, backed by Intel's validated platform — ECC DDR5 memory controllers, enterprise firmware and thermals designed to run at full load for years, not benchmark minutes. Every plan is a dedicated KVM slice of that silicon.
Two features separate Xeon from desktop-class hosting. ECC DDR5 memory corrects the random bit flips that silently corrupt data on ordinary RAM — mandatory for databases and anything long-running. Because it's the platform the entire server industry validates against. Xeon Gold means ECC end to end, conservative thermals that hold turbo clocks 24/7, and firmware that's been hammered in datacenters for years. It's the boring choice — which is exactly what you want under a database or a customer-facing app.
AVX-512 processes 512 bits per instruction — video encoding (x264/x265 builds with AVX-512 paths), scientific and financial number-crunching, compression, cryptography and ML inference all see real speedups. If your software mentions vectorization, it will love this CPU.
ECC (Error-Correcting Code) RAM detects and fixes single-bit memory errors on the fly. On non-ECC machines a cosmic-ray bit flip can silently corrupt a database page or crash a long job; on a Xeon platform it's corrected and logged. For anything that runs for months, ECC is the difference between an incident and a footnote.
Rule of thumb: choose our Ryzen VPS when a few threads must be as fast as possible (game servers, MetaTrader, single-page apps).
